Equine cryotherapy FAQs

Equine cryotherapy: common questions

Mobile Cryo Pro brings localized cold-therapy equipment to barns across the North Bay for sport, working, and older horses.

Localized care

What is equine cryotherapy?

It is targeted cold therapy delivered to a specific area of the horse rather than a whole-body setup. Dan brings the mobile equipment to the barn and works around the horse, handler, and available space.

Scheduling

When do owners request a visit?

Owners commonly ask about visits around training, competition, hauling, and ongoing care. New injuries, active medical issues, or unexplained symptoms require a veterinarian first.

Care team

Does it replace the vet?

No. Mobile Cryo Pro does not diagnose or treat injuries. It is not urgent care and does not replace your veterinarian or other qualified equine professionals.

Setup

What do you need at the barn?

A safe, quiet place to work, a handler who knows the horse, and enough room around the treatment area. Dan will confirm anything else before the visit.

What areas can be treated?

Common focus areas include hocks, knees, fetlocks, pasterns, tendons, suspensories, shoulders, back, hindquarters, and neck.

Can older horses use it?

Possibly, depending on the horse’s health and veterinary guidance. Share relevant health information when requesting the visit.

Can you come to a show barn?

Yes, by request. Barn days, trainer partnerships, and multiple-horse visits can be quoted before booking.

How long does a visit take?

Timing depends on the horse, the treatment area, and the barn setup. Dan will give you a clear expectation before the appointment.

Do you need my vet involved?

If the horse has a new injury, active medical issue, or unclear symptoms, involve your vet first. Mobile Cryo Pro is recovery support, not veterinary care.

How do I book?

Call, text, or send the contact form with the horse’s location, what area you want addressed, and whether other providers are already involved.
